Final Post

I have final come to the end of the problem solving unit, I have to say that i think that is has gone very well even though it got of to a rocky start.  I have enjoyed the unit as it has helped me to read a book I have found that it was very fun to do and that a will want to read another book after I finish the one I am on.  I feel that I have used the skill gained in this class to help me read my first ever book and I am very happy with myself.  I have also enjoyed the blogging for recording for how the problem solving panned out.  I have also learned that wen I come across another problem in my life I should take a step back and evaluate the problem at hand break it down and create a plan to solve it.

I have now reached the end of my problem solving assessment and I have to say that I think that is has went really well as I am still reading my book and that I have almost complected it, this has also encored me to buy another book something I would have never done before.  I think that my action plan has worked and had no weaknesses as I have use the method that I planed out to great success and hope to continue to use this play with other book that I plan to read.  All in all I think that the assessment has made me like and want to read more books in the future as i now find them fun and enjoyable.

Book Review 2

How I am doing so far?

I have been reading my book quite well I have managed to read a few more chapters.  They are very interesting ones as the story has now taken James Wharton to Basra as a infinity driver,  this part of the book has give me some emotion that are good but also scary as the character in the book has a near death experience and also seen his first dead body when his troop squad came to ad an emergence assistance.  So far the book is coming along well and I am having a lot of fun reading it and cant wait to read some more as it is really pulling me in.

Book Review 1

What Book I have chosen?

The book I have chosen to read is about a guy who was in the army called James Wharton, it is about his life in the army and his personal life about being a gay man and in the army.  The book as been given some very good reviews on Waterston's website, because of this I have pick this book to read as I am gay myself and I would like to find out what it was like for him being gay and in the army life.

One of the reviews?
Touching & authentic”
Hardback edition

I really enjoyed this book. The author's voice felt authentic and true. It gave a fascinating insight into the military and was very reassuring about the basic decency of most people who work in that profession. The book was particularly moving because it demonstrated that ordinary lives can become extraordinary.

What I think of the book so far?

So far I have read to chapter 5 I am finding the book very interesting and interesting, I find that the way author of the book has been very honest and raw with the way he has written his life's story so far.  I am excited to read more of the book as I has me wanting more as it is getting more interesting.

How I am doing with my reading?

I believe that I am going good with my reading of my chosen book as I have been able to read it when I have a spare moment and when waiting for my mum finishing work and in between lessons so far.  I hope to complete the book within another 3 week as I would like to take my time when reading my first ever official book.
